VAT Batch Enrichment

Upload a CSV file containing company names, addresses, and postcodes to match them against the VAT database.

File Requirements

Format: CSV only (.csv) — Excel workbooks aren't accepted yet. In Excel: File → Save As → CSV (Comma delimited).

Recognized columns (any one name per row from each group; column names are case-sensitive):

  • Company name — core_company_name, company_name, or Name
  • Postcode (used with company name to narrow the search — see note below) — core_postcode, postcode, or Postcode
  • Address lines (optional, up to 4) — core_add1…core_add4 or address1…address4

A company name or an address is required per row — postcode alone is not searched by itself, only used together with a company name to narrow that search. Rows with neither a name nor an address are marked Unmatched without attempting a search. Matching is done purely against our search index (no live external lookups), so results come back quickly. Any other columns in your file — including any existing VAT number column — are kept as-is in the downloaded result but aren't used for matching.

Comma-separated if you want more than one recipient notified.
